Wardrobe 2015

This year marks the fifth year that I've been participating in the EGL Livejournal community's wardrobe theme! Even though the LJ community has slowed down a lot in the last few years, January is still very popular with all of the great collections that people share.

This year, I tried a new photo format that highlights my main pieces, and wrote a little blurb about each one as well. I also excluded things that I felt were superfluous or too casual, like plain tights, bloomers, and petticoats. I'm really happy with how it all came together!

One of my favorite parts of doing it every year is seeing how my collection has grown and changed in style over the years, and I always end up feeling like "This year is the best yet!" 2015 Cosplay Plans

Now that 2015 is here, it's time to put some of my plans into writing! I've had all of this in mind since late last year (and have been updating Facebook accordingly), but there's something about putting it on the page properly that makes it feel a bit more real.

Sewing Catch-Up: Two jumperskirts, two skirts, a vest, a jacket, and an orange wedding dress!

I did a lot of sewing in November and December. No really, A LOT. I did six personal projects, one present, and three commissions! I'll be saving the commissions for another post, but here are seven recent projects for your viewing pleasure.

2014 Year in Review

Last year, I had a lot of fun going through old posts and picking the events that were the most memorable and enjoyable, so I figured I would do it again this year! BABY/AatP New Year's Lucky Pack 2014

This year, I ordered the "BABY＆PIRATES スカート＆ジャンパースカート入りバラエティパック" (Skirt & Jumperskirt Variety Pack) as my Christmas present to myself. Lucky packs are so much fun, even if you end up with a few things that don't work out. I was actually pretty happy with this one--it was a great deal, and four out of the six items ended up great for me!

I did a photoshoot with my sister while I was up north over the holidays, and I am so pleased with how it came together! I restyled the wig to make it look more natural and more screen-accurate from how it was at Halloween. It's all ready for SDCC this summer!
