Applesauce Muffins

We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming for muffins.

The beginning of the quarter is always so busy, I never have time for much. I did manage to make some cupcakes (lemon with blackberry whipped cream) for a big Lolita picnic a week ago, but I was in such a hurry making them that I didn't have a chance to take pictures, and they were devoured so quickly I didn't get one at the meetup, either.

My poor roommate is having an even worse time right now than me--on top of classes, she's in so many musical groups she doesn't have a spare moment on weekends. Normally, she makes these tasty, quick muffins herself, but today I decided to make them for her. Continue for the recipe...

Specialty Baking: Chocolate Quinoa Cupcakes

I'm back, with more gluten-free baking! My gluten-intolerant aunt was visiting again, so I decided to make some more cupcakes that she could enjoy. This recipe is so tasty, everyone in the family loved it. You would never guess that it doesn't have any flour at all!

Christmas Cupcakes + Lolita Christmas Party

I made cupcakes for the music department Christmas party today--white chocolate cake base with peppermint white chocolate cream cheese frosting. And last weekend, I went to a big Christmas Lolita meetup at Paris in a Cup, which was a lot of fun!

And the Winner for Most Matching Accessories...

In the previous post, I talked about how I made this jumperskirt more wearable. Well, here it is, coordinated for a chilly day! I always have fun with this outfit, because I have the most music-themed accessories.

Project Revamp: Music Note Jumperskirt

I recently decided that some of my older handmade items needed an update. When I first made them, I had a good grasp of the Lolita aesthetic, but I don't think I really understood what sort of lace or ribbon to use. After examining my brand pieces, I figured out what I wanted to do to update these projects.
