A leap year is a year containing one additional day in order to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat in a whole number of days, a calendar that had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected. (Wikipedia.)I'm going to use today as an excuse to catch up on all of the outfits I wore in January and February. And tomorrow, I'll have some updates on commissions and a bit of exciting (to me, anyway) news!
January 27, swap meet with the local girls. I had just finished making a cute velveteen bow to match this outfit, so I figured I ought to wear it. Jumperskirt and headbow are handmade by me, socks and cutsew are BABY. Unseen shoes were Bodyline (as usual).
Weekly meetup outfit, February 03. I won the dress at another meetup, and wanted an excuse to wear it. I had also just finished the cardigan, and figured it would work well as a jacket. Lots of black and white, as always! Jumperskirt is Metamorphose, socks and blouse are BABY/AatP, shoes are Bodyline, cardigan is handmade by me.
Jumperskirt, socks, headbow, and parasol are all BABY. Shoes are Secret Shop, cutsew and wristcuffs (I forgot to put them back on) are Angelic Pretty.
Another weekly meetup outfit, this time for the February 24 swap meet. Again, just finished a sewing project (the white jacket) and had to wear it to show it off! Jumperskirt, blouse, socks, and hair combs are BABY, shoes are Bodyline. Jacket is handmade by me.
Such lovely outfits!
