Overdue SDCC Post

It's been so long that I'd almost forgotten that I had pictures to post about SDCC! As always, I spent most of the week of con working as volunteer staff, which is so much fun but keeps you very busy. I didn't get to go to very many panels, but the ones I did attend were great. We also had a big Lolita meetup on Sunday, but I'll save those pictures for another post.

Jim Lee drawing live for a panel.
A lot of these pictures are from my phone camera, so please excuse the poor quality!

I wore some kind of casual themed Lolita every day of con, which was a lot of fun (and more comfortable than cosplay).

Thursday
Thursday's outfit with a cutsew dress (Alice and the Pirate's Rapunzel). Tights are also A/P, hair accessories are BABY, and shoes are Bodyline.

Friday
Friday's outfit was a casual coordinate, incorporating a neckerchief that one of our other staff friends made to reference an inside joke from last year. Skirt and cutsew are BABY, socks are Metamorphose, shoes are Bodyline, and hair accessories are from H&M.

Saturday
Saturday was a pirate-themed outfit, with my handmade skirt (fabric by teja_jamilla) and blouse from Forever 21. Tights are also teja_jamilla, and the hat is from Etsy and decorated by me. I had cute shoes on at one point, but quickly switched to hiking shoes for comfort.

Sunday's outfit was also pretty casual, but a little nicer for the meetup. Other people got better pictures of me, but this was the only one I managed to take.

Skirt is Innocent World, blouse and Comic-Con waist cincher are handmade by me. Socks are BABY, shoes are Bodyline, and the hair accessory is also made by me.

I managed to go to one cool panel a day during the con, and planned my work shifts and shopping around them. I got to see a lot of my favorite authors, which is my favorite part of con.

Ode to Nerds panel with Patrick Rothfuss and other authors
Sandman panel WITH  NEIL GAIMAN AHHHHHHHHH
Jim Lee's finished Joker sketch (I saw this one while waiting for Sandman)
I also went to another fantasy author panel, but my phone was dead and my husband had the camera, so I didn't manage to get any pictures. It had a lot of great authors, including one of my favorites, Brandon Sanderson.

One more backlog post for SDCC will be coming soon, featuring the Lolita event!
